How this site is written and kept honest

Who writes

Pages and briefings are written by Evert Vorster (see About). There are no anonymous or invented authors. Where a page draws on work by others it links them.

How facts are sourced

  • Every statutory or regulatory requirement is cited to a document and section or paragraph, and linked to the gazetted or published text: the Data Protection Act (Act 5 of 2021, cited in regulations as the Cyber and Data Protection Act [Chapter 12:07]), SI 155 of 2024, RBZ prudential standards and guidelines, IPEC and POTRAZ publications.
  • Every statistic carries its publisher and date in a source list on the page. Where we compute a figure from published numbers (for example a percentage share) we say so.
  • Worked examples with assumed prices or volumes are labelled "illustrative" and are never presented as market data.
  • We do not publish client names, testimonials, awards or partnerships, and we do not describe products that have not shipped.
  • When a regulator has not published something we looked for, the page says so rather than guessing.

Dating and updates

Briefings show a published date and, when changed materially, an updated date. Reference pages state the month they were last checked. We review the regulatory reference table when POTRAZ, the RBZ or IPEC publish new instruments, and at least twice a year.

Corrections

If you find an error, email ai@aiautomatedsolutions.net with the page URL and the source you rely on. We correct the page, note the correction at the foot of the page, and update the date. Disagreements about interpretation of a statute are noted as such.

Independence and commercial interest

The publisher sells implementation services. The reference material here is written to be correct whether or not a reader ever buys anything, and it links to regulators and primary sources more often than to the publisher's own properties. Cross-links within the AI Automated Solutions network are limited and disclosed.

Not legal advice

This site is general information for executives. It is not legal advice and does not create an adviser relationship. Verify statutory references with counsel and the relevant authority before relying on them.
